Get a job fast
More and more people are getting laid off or made redundant. This will only get worse as AI takes on more and more work.
So how do you stand out in your job search and get a job fast?
If you need a job quickly, there are some simple things you can do to get ahead below:
Make sure your CV is strong
Honestly- ask yourself, is your CV in the top 5% of all CVs? If not, change this now. Check out my advice on how to write a perfect CV here.
Use a consistent strategy when applying to jobs
If you’re doing what everyone else is, spamming your CV, then you will get drowned out. I’m writing a complete guide for your job hunting strategy and outreach, but click the link here to drop me a message and I’ll send you some advice (it’s free).
Don’t spam, but it is a numbers game
You have to apply to a lot of jobs to maximise your chances of success- this includes maximising your salary. See why having lots of options matters here.
Build a network that will help you get your next job
You’ve probably heard that most jobs are filled through friends and family (“it’s not what you know, it’s who you know!”. Don’t worry if you don’t have a network yet- it is not that hard to build one.
Stay positive and avoid being desperate
Instead, be earnest. I’ve written on the difference here, it is a huge game changer when it comes to landing interviews and getting job offers.
While it can seem daunting, remember that you have a lot to offer- follow these tips and read my other articles/watch my videos and you will quickly learn how to position yourself in the job market and get a job fast.

Tiktok attention and writing your CV
It all begins with an idea.
You already know that everyone’s brains have been moulded into attention addicted machines. Tiktok has frazzled our attention.
What does this mean for you, the job hunter?
You MUST grab attention quickly.
No matter your industry, how professional or traditional the sector, everyone’s attention has shrunk massively.
Your CV must jump out of the screen.
Some tips for you to implement now:
1. Get rid of all unnecessary information
Nobody cares about your swimming badges (I’m exaggerating, but you get my point). This includes old jobs you did when you were younger, or in a different sector.
2. Key achievements/Notable projects section must be right at the top
Use few bullet points that make it IMPOSSIBLE to miss how good you are.
3. Use power words that grip the reader
There is a huge cheat sheet of CV specific power words in the Write a Perfect CV course
4. Use numbers and statistics to build credibility
You would be surprised at how including just a few basic numbers and statistics will set your CV apart. Not sure how? Check out some examples here.
5. Demonstrate extreme high value
Every company wants to hire really good people. Make it abundantly obvious that you are good. Think about what would actually make a difference to the company- what do they care about? (Hint, it’s often money). Find a way to relate your experience to them making more money, or saving money.
There’s loads more info including a full masterclass, examples, cheat sheets, and more on the Write a Perfect CV course I have built for you- it’s super cheap and if it helps you get a job, particularly with a pay rise, I’ll be happy.
